21st-Century STEM

Design it.
Build it. Test it.

Students learn engineering by turning ideas into working solutions, improving them through testing, and collaborating through every stage of the process.

Technical knowledge becomes real through application.

The STEM sequence introduces students to engineering design, electronics, programming, prototyping, and collaborative problem-solving.

Projects require students to plan carefully, divide responsibility, learn from unsuccessful attempts, and explain the thinking behind their work.

STEM I & II

The CIJE curriculum gives younger students a strong foundation in the engineering process and the tools used to move from a concept to a functioning prototype.

Advanced STEM

Upperclassmen can continue into more independent and sophisticated projects that require deeper technical knowledge, persistence, and teamwork.

Robotics

The robotics team designs, builds, programs, and operates competition robots while learning to solve problems under real deadlines.

Iteration is part of the learning.

Students discover that strong work rarely appears on the first attempt. They test, diagnose, revise, and keep going until the solution works.
